OPDEL is a brand of induction melting furnaces, casting machines and metal-processing equipment for the precious-metal industry. The OPDEL line was established in 1976 in Trentino, northern Italy, through a collaboration between Italian and Swiss engineering.
Originally created for the design and manufacture of mechanical components, it moved into gold-processing machinery, particularly induction melting furnaces for continuous casting, developing over the years
also resistance furnaces for annealing ovens, belt furnaces, melting and casting for platinum. Alongside the Furnace Division, supplies for the gold market are proposed by the Division Ceramic and Graphite Division (with brand Te.ker) while finishing and surface treatment and all consumables and equipment are treated by the Finishing Division (with brand MF Metalfinishing).
The mechanical and electronic design (hardware and software) is developed in-house by a qualified technical staff whose goal is the continuous development of new products.
Very important for our customers are the technical laboratories for testing casting, investment casting and finishing, which Opdel provides for consulting services: to suggest process solutions checking the result with Opdel machines and technology.
